A Great Many Women

A Great Many Women was a devised, site-specific theatre project I created in my work with Colliding Scopes Theatre, a company based at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Working with the devising collective, I helped conceive, write, direct, and design a performance that adapted the Charlotte Perkins Gilman short story The Yellow Wall-Paper.

The performance took place in St. Andrew’s Manse, a historical site on the grounds of St. Andrew’s Church. Audiences were welcomed into the Manse and followed the story of the play as it unravelled across the entire house.

You can read more about the production on collective member Morgan Anderson’s blog. You can also read a review of the performance in The Queen’s Journal.
